The Minister of Culture, Dr. Ghattas Khoury, visited the temporary premises of the Lebanese National Library at the Port of Beirut where he toured the various sections and services including the cataloguing of books and periodicals, the restoration workshops and the stacks where old collections are stored. The visit took place in the presence of the Project Manager, Mr. Gerard Khajerian, and the Project Executive Director, Mrs. Gelnare Atoui Saad.

The Minister seemed pleased with his visit which enabled him to discover the existence of a hidden national treasure, noting that most of those working in the public sector are unaware of its existence, and he added: “It was an honor to discover the Library’s holdings.”
